Full-time | On-site HireIQ is partnering with an established construction and technology services business to hire an experienced Senior Billing Specialist for its Long Island finance team. This is a senior, hands-on billing position for someone who understands the complexity of NYC agency, government and construction billing and can take ownership of invoices from initial documentation through payment. The Role:
You will be responsible for: Managing project billing from start to finish Preparing and reviewing T&M, fixed-price and project invoices Reviewing contracts, purchase orders and supporting documentation Handling NYC agency and government billing requirements Managing prevailing-wage and certified-payroll documentation Reviewing sign-in sheets, packing slips and billing backup Resolving rejected, disputed or delayed invoices Coordinating closely with Project Managers and internal teams Supporting and mentoring billing staff Improving billing processes and controls What They Need 5+ years of hands-on billing experience Strong NYC agency, government or public-sector billing experience Construction, engineering, MEP, electrical, low-voltage or specialty-contracting experience preferred Experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation Experience owning invoices through submission, follow-up and payment If you have strong NYC agency billing experience and are looking for a senior opportunity on Long Island, apply or message me directly for a confidential conversation.
