About the role
Job Description:
Energy Technician (Journeyman / Lead Tech)Independently perform full weatherization installations with Crew Lead supervision.
Assist in conducting basic diagnostic testing (blower door, combustion safety) and complete quality checks. Join our team and install energy-saving measures in residential homes: attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lighting, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats, and electric water heaters.
Conduct water heater repairs and replacement service calls
Help with repairs, load and unload work trucks, keep job sites clean and safe, and assist with setup and teardown.
Train and mentor Tier 1 techs on the job.
Qualifications:
2+ years in weatherization or related trade; such as electrical training, plumbing or HVAC background. BPI certification or ability to obtain; valid driver's license; Clean background checks. No cost paid training

Physical requirements:
Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather
Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday
Use repetitive hand motions & use of basic hand and power tools
Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)
Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed

Our work is performed primarily through weatherization programs. These programs provide free energy upgrades to qualifying low-income households, including insulation, air sealing, heating system repairs, and other efficiency measures. As a certified contractor, True Management LLC carries out these upgrades in our community, ensuring that homes are safer, healthier, and more affordable to heat and cool—while also reducing overall energy waste.
