About the role

Jennifer Fukumae is a direct-hire recruiter specializing in Financial Services, partnering with firms and professionals to connect top talent with the right opportunities. Reach out via LinkedIn or email to start a conversation. A private family office in the Peninsula is looking for an experienced Family Office Accountant to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a hands-on role supporting a multigenerational family with a significant and diversified investment portfolio. The family office is in the process of creating a more formal and streamlined infrastructure, so this person will have the opportunity to help build and improve processes rather than simply inherit an established accounting function.
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee day-to-day family office accounting, including bill payment, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Partner on the development and ongoing management of the annual family office budget
  • Coordinate with tax professionals, estate planning advisors, investment professionals, banks, and other external partners
  • Maintain accurate financial information and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing data
  • Help establish and improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and documentation
  • Support various financial and administrative needs across the family office
  • Take ownership of special projects and other initiatives as the family office continues to evolve
  • Serve as a trusted resource to the family and its external advisors, bringing organization and follow-through to a wide range of responsibilities

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
