About the role
Funds Counsel | Investment Management | New York Simmons & Hanbury is partnering with an established investment manager to recruit a funds-focused attorney for its New York legal team. Working closely with senior legal leadership, this individual will support a broad range of fund-related matters and partner with stakeholders across the business. The position offers meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a sophisticated investment environment.
Key responsibilities:
Support fund structuring, formation and ongoing legal matters. Review and negotiate fund documentation and investor agreements. Advise on fundraising, investor relations and broader investment management matters. Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel on projects and business initiatives. Ideal background: Approximately 4–9 years of relevant investment funds experience at a law firm and/or investment manager. Strong drafting, communication and commercial judgment.
