Overview: Our Client is an engineering-driven manufacturer in southeastern Wisconsin that designs, builds, and tests advanced motor drives, power electronics, and automated test systems. The company is growing quickly and is adding a Human Resources Manager at its Wauwatosa headquarters. This role supports the full workforce, from hourly assembly and production employees through engineers, supervisors, and managers. You will report to the Director of Human Resources, work on-site in Wauwatosa, and travel to the production facility in Franksville, Wisconsin as needed.
Lead Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for hourly and salaried employees on workplace concerns, policy questions, and conflict resolution Coach supervisors and managers on performance, attendance, documentation, and corrective action Run full-cycle recruiting for assembly, production, technical, engineering, and professional roles Administer compensation, benefits, open enrollment, and leave of absence Run the performance review cycle and build training for supervisors and leads Maintain compliance with federal and Wisconsin employment law, the handbook, and personnel records Partner with operations and EHS on safety, onboarding, and cross-training on the production floor Report workforce metrics leadership can act on: headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, absenteeism, and overtime
Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience 5 to 7 years of progressive human resources experience with hands-on responsibility for employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits, performance management, and compliance Experience supporting both hourly assembly or production employees and salaried managerial employees Working knowledge of federal and state employment law Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systemsA plus Experience in a manufacturing or engineering company Experience supporting assembly operations across multiple shifts or more than one siteSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
Compensation and benefits: Competitive base salary plus a 10% short-term incentive target, payable up to 200% of target Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, and holidays
