Skilled Machine Operator (Machine Adjuster Level 1) Cenveo, a leading North American envelope manufacturer, is hiring skilled machine operators for our Jersey City, NJ location (3rd shift only - 11pm - 7am). This is a highly technical role requiring hands-on mechanical experience. Candidates should have experience with machine setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and equipment adjustments. Automotive technicians with engine and transmission repair experience are encouraged to apply. Pay & Schedule $23 - $24/hr + $1/hr 3rd shift premium (11pm -7am) Training on 1st shift (7am - 3pm) Monday - Friday; overtime and Saturdays as needed Opportunity for advancement to Machine Adjuster with increased earning potential.
What You'll Do: Learn to set up, adjust, and operate high-speed envelope manufacturing equipment. Learn machine timing, part installation/removal, and complete product changeovers. Troubleshoot equipment and support production quality and efficiency. Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all safety procedures.
Job Requirements: 4+ years of hands-on mechanical, industrial, automotive, or manufacturing experience preferred. Proven ability to set up, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Basic computer, math, and measurement skills, including reading a ruler accurately. Flexibility to work on various machine platforms as needed.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 55 lbs. Comfortable working around high-speed production equipment, noise, and manufacturing materials. Ability to work in varying temperatures and remain alert throughout the shift. CENVEO IS AN EEO EMPLOYER INDCVOP
