About the role
Curtin Maritime is hiring a Ship Assist & Escort Mate based in the Los Angeles/Long Beach area. The role supports the Port Captain and Vessel Captain aboard Curtin's ASD tugs, ensuring safe docking, undocking, and escort of deep-draft vessels in a busy harbor.
The position requires leadership, crisis management, crew supervision, and strict adherence to Curtin standards. A valid Mate of Tow Vessels near Coastal credential and STCW Survival Craft are preferred.
