About the role
- Performsany combination of the following duties on construction projects by transferring from one task to another, where the demands require a worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision.
- Finish concrete for curbs, sidewalks, roadways, bridges, structures, and inlets with precision and attention to detail.
- Prepare and set forms for concrete installation according to project specifications.
- Mix and pour concrete, ensuring proper consistency and quality.
- Level, smooths, and shapes surface of freshly poured concrete using straight edge, float and other hand tools
- Use hand and power tools to shape and smooth concrete surfaces.
- Inspect finished work for quality and adherence to safety standards, as well as patch concrete.
- Collaboratewith team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Levels earth to fine grade specifications using a pick and a shovel.
- Spray materials such as water and curing compound.
- Operate small machinery including but not limited to water pumps, portable electric generators, portable sprayers, power and hand tools.
- Knowledge/SkiIIRequirementMinimum of 2 years' experience paving/finishing concrete in Heavy Highway Construction or similar industries is required
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge and practice of safe work practices Team Orientation

- Stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, hammering, rubbing, reaching, kneeling, and squatting
- Requires regular lifting of up to 80 lbs.
- Walking or standing may occupy the entire day.

- OvernightStay on out of Town Projects (Lodging Provided)
- Overtime work is required
- Required to ride to and from the job site
- May be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
