About the role
We are seeking a visionary, highly skilled, and hands-on Senior / Lead AWS Dev Ops Engineer with 10+ years of industry experience to architect, scale, and secure our cloud-native infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our CI/CD pipelines, drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards, and champion reliability, automation, and security best practices across multi-account AWS environments. You will act as a technical bridge between software development, QA, and infrastructure operations, ensuring our systems scale effortlessly to support our growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Design, deploy, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems on AWS (utilizing core services such as VPC, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and Cloud Front).Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Spearhead the definition and management of cloud infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK. Drive zero-touch provisioning and state management. CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Architect, build, and optimize robust automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or AWS Developer Tools. Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized workloads using Docker and orchestrate microservices deployments on Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).Observability & Site Reliability (SRE): Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions using AWS Cloud Watch, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana to maintain high system availability and fast incident response. Security & Compliance (Dev Sec Ops): Integrate security automation (SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanning) into pipelines. Ensure continuous compliance with industry frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).Cost Optimization (Fin Ops): Continuously monitor cloud resource utilization, analyze cost allocation, and implement rightsizing and automated savings strategies (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances).Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical authority; mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conduct architectural reviews, and define team-wide Dev Ops best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 9–10 years heavily focused on AWS Cloud Engineering, Dev Ops, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).Cloud Expertise: Deep, production-level expertise in core AWS services, networking concepts (VPCs, Subnets, Route 53, VPN, Transit Gateway), and IAM security policies. IaC & Automation: Advanced proficiency with Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation/CDK.Containers & Orchestration: Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS management, Helm charts).Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tool development. Methodologies: Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git workflows, and trunk-based development. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to cross-functional stakeholders
