You can learn more about us at https://www.citimedny.com/.About the Role As a Transcriptionist, your main duty is to review and revise the notes taken by our doctors during patient visits. After the patient visits, a transcriptionist must thoroughly go through each note/report to ensure that all details listed are correct. Once the report is finalized and correct, each report must be uploaded into our database for medical records.
Responsibilities: Transcribe medical reports, office visit notes, and other medical documents from our health care providers. Work with transcription equipment that can include speech recognition equipment, word processing and computer software, medical references and other technologies to transcribe a variety of documents and reports. Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liability. Return dictated reports in printed or electronic form for physicians' review, signature, and corrections, and for inclusion in patients' medical records. Create templates and enter data into electronic health record (EHR) systems for updated record keeping and archives. Perform any clerical duty and task that is requested of his or her assistant/manager to improve provider productivity, patient care, and efficient office flow. Comply with hospital and medical facility policies, including those related to HIPAA.Other duties as required.
Qualifications: High school or equivalent (Required)
Required Skills: Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute Proficiency in grammar, abbreviations, and punctuation Working knowledge of commonly used medical terminology Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in English, both verbal and written Equal Opportunity Statement Citi Med is committed to diversity and inclusivity.
