Key Responsibilities: Manual Software Verification : Perform manual testing of embedded software to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with design specifications. Test Protocol Development : Design, review, and update test protocols to ensure comprehensive verification of software and hardware systems. Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure compliance with medical device standards, includingISO 13485(Quality Management), ISO 14971(Risk Management), andIEC 62304(Software Development Lifecycle). Test Equipment Operation : Utilize and maintain test equipment such asoscilloscopes , function generators , DMMs (Digital Multimeters), andPSUs (Power Supply Units). Communication Protocol Testing : Test and validate communication protocols likeRS-232andRS-485to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Conduct DVT to verify that the product meets all design requirements and specifications. Defect Identification and Analysis : Identify, document, and analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to implement solutions. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of test results, protocols, and compliance reports. Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and quality assurance professionals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: Embedded Systems Testing : Strong experience in manual software verification for embedded devices. Medical Device Standards : Familiarity withISO 13485 , ISO 14971, andIEC 62304. Test Equipment Expertise : Hands-on experience withoscilloscopes , function generators , DMMs, andPSUs. Communication Protocols : Proficiency in testingRS-232andRS-485protocols. Design Verification Testing (DVT) : Proven experience in DVT for embedded systems.
Regulated Industry Experience: Prior experience inmedical devices , aerospace, orautomotiveindustries.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings clearly.
Desired Skills: Experience withautomated testing toolsfor embedded systems. Knowledge ofAgileorWaterfalldevelopment methodologies. Familiarity withFDA regulationsfor medical devices. Experience inroot cause analysisanddefect prevention.
