Duration: Contract, 3 months+Compensation: $60–$70+ per hour About the Company & OpportunityA leading global media and entertainment company is seeking a Finance Manager for a contract opportunity supporting its international finance operations. This is an opportunity to join an established, creatively driven organization with a worldwide presence and partner with finance and business leaders across multiple markets. The role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, planning, and operational finance, with ownership of key processes and visibility to senior leadership.
Responsibilities: Lead monthly close and financial reporting for central corporate functions, ensuring accurate, timely results aligned with corporate reporting standards. Review departmental P&Ls, perform detailed variance analysis, and prepare clear financial commentary for senior leadership. Oversee headcount, payroll, and bonus expense reviews, including accruals, allocations, and departmental cost tracking. Partner with global stakeholders across commercial, marketing, and corporate functions to review actual results, forecasts, and business performance. Coordinate intercompany charges and allocations for centrally funded initiatives across international business units. Collaborate with shared services and procurement teams to resolve journal entry issues, review purchase orders, and ensure accurate invoice coding. Maintain reporting schedules covering departmental overhead, transaction-related legal expenses, and cost savings initiatives. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. Prepare documentation and supporting schedules for internal, external, and local statutory audits. Improve reporting templates, workflows, and financial review processes to strengthen efficiency and visibility. Respond to ad hoc financial analysis requests and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and CPA designation (preferred)6+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including financial close, reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of P&L management, expense accruals, and cost allocations. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to translate complex financial information into clear analysis and presentations for senior stakeholders. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating across departments. Proactive approach to process improvement and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Ability to mentor and support junior team members. Media or entertainment industry experience is a plus. Experience using AI tools to support workplace productivity and analysis.
