About the role

A high-growth AI-native startup is hiring a Full Stack Engineer in San Francisco to build broad, deep features across the entire product stack. This is a role for engineers who like range: comfortable in Python one hour and polishing a React component the next. You'll own features end to end, from data model to interface, and ship at the pace an early-stage startup actually needs.
Role: Full Stack Engineer
Location: San Francisco, 5 days per week in office
What you'll be doing:
  • Build and ship full-stack features across Python, TypeScript, React and Next.jsOwn problems end to end: data model, API, UI, deployment and instrumentation
  • Make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and craft based on what the moment needs
  • Partner with product, design and the founders on scope and priorities
  • Use AI tooling (Claude, Cursor and similar) throughout your workflow to compress the cycle
  • Keep an eye on reliability, performance and user experience as the product scales
What you'll need:
  • Strong production experience across Python, TypeScript, React and Next.jsGenuine full-stack range: comfortable in both backend and frontend without preferring one and tolerating the other
  • Track record shipping features end to end in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Fluent in modern AI engineering tools and able to use them to materially raise output
  • High autonomy and the pragmatism to make the right call with incomplete information
  • Happy in a 5-days in-office, high-intensity environment
Nice to have:
  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Exposure to AI/LLM product features or agentic workflows
  • Comfort with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment tooling
This role would suit a full-stack engineer who wants real ownership of features end to end and a stack they genuinely enjoy working across.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
