About the role
Customer Service Representative - Science Based CompanyWe are seeking a Testing Services Representative to join our customer-focused team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking support with our testing services. You will handle inbound calls, emails, and inquiries related to our test laboratories, help customers initiate and manage test programs, and provide information about Q-Lab's weathering, light stability, and corrosion testing solutions.
This is an ideal position for someone with strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a passion for delivering excellent service in a science- and technology-driven environment.
ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
Assist clients with initiating and managing their testing projects, including providing information on test procedures, timelines, pricing, and logistics.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution and delivery of testing services.
Educate customers on the appropriate testing options for their specific materials or products based on industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and project statuses using CRM and other systems.
Support customers in understanding test results and final reports, in collaboration with technical staff.
Resolve issues efficiently and escalate complex cases as needed to appropriate departments.
Stay current on Q-Lab's testing capabilities, services, and technological advancements.
QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service or client-facing experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Comfortable learning technical concepts and explaining them to customers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or business-related field.
Experience in a testing laboratory, manufacturing, or technical sales environment.
Familiarity with material testing standards (ASTM, ISO, etc.).
