⚡ Senior Trading Systems Engineer🌍 Remote | US💲 $300k-$500kAbout The ClientI've recently partnered with a proprietary trading and market-making firm focused on prediction markets. They provide liquidity and automated execution across event-driven markets such as politics, sports, economics, crypto, and global news. Having recently just crossed $2B in volume on Kalshi, they're looking to expand their 19-person trading desk by brining on a senior trading systems engineer.
What You'll Do:
  • Building and maintaining integrations with external trading and market-data venues
  • Developing low-latency market-data and order-management systems
  • Designing robust execution frameworks and state-machine-driven workflows
  • Managing order lifecycles including acknowledgements, fills, cancellations, replacements, and recovery
  • Building automated pre-trade and post-trade risk controls
  • Creating reconciliation tooling to ensure internal records match venue state
  • What They're Looking ForStrong software engineering experience in Rust, Go, Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, or similar
  • Experience in electronic trading, financial infrastructure, payments etc.
  • Deep understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, messaging, and fault tolerance
  • Experience integrating external APIs and real-time streaming systems
  • Strong knowledge of state management, recovery, retries, idempotency, and event processing
