The Account Support Specialist assists Business Development Representatives by assisting with contract creation, managing logistics scheduling, and handling day-to-day activities. This position focuses on ensuring smooth operations and supporting the growth of the business by effectively managing client relationships. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCollaboration: Collaborate with Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to facilitate contract creation, including drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, logistics, and finance, to gather necessary information, resolve issues, and streamline processes related to account support. Assist in Negotiations: Assist in contract negotiations, working closely with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements. Organization of Systems/Databases: Maintain accurate and organized contract management systems and databases, ensuring efficient access to contract records when needed. Support Logistics Management: Support BDRs in managing logistics scheduling for recycling operations, including coordinating transportation, coordinating with recycling facilities, and optimizing schedules to meet client requirements. Administrative Tasks: Act as a central point of contact for BDRs, providing administrative assistance and support for day-to-day activities, such as document preparation, data entry, report generation, and correspondence management. Regular Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and track business development activities, providing regular reports, analysis, and insights to help identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the recycling industry. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market developments, and provide recommendations to improve sales strategies and initiatives. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESStrong understanding of contract management processes and experience with contract drafting and review. Thorough knowledge of recycling industry regulations, best practices, and environmental considerations. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work as a team player with a willingness to support others. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to solve problems as they arise. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate. Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAININGThree to five years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field. Proven experience in a support role, preferably in recycling or waste management industry. Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods standing. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
