About the role
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections of electrical installations, control systems, and instrumentation equipment
Verify compliance with applicable standards (IEC, NFPA, local electrical codes, etc.)
Conduct functional testing and calibration of instrumentation systems
Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
Maintain inspection records and manage documentation
Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders
Collaborate with project teams and other inspectors
Stay current with evolving standards and regulations
Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma/GED minimum; technical diploma or associate degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of E&I inspection or related field experience
Certifications:
Valid electrical inspector certification or equivalent (e.g., NFPA, local jurisdiction); instrumentation certification a plus
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, and instrumentation principles
Safety: Demonstrated commitment to safety; OSHA 30 certification or equivalent preferred
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to produce clear technical reports
Physical Ability: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied environmental conditions
