About the role
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active California medical licenseBLS certification required
- Previous experience in a similar outpatient setting preferred
- No inpatient care required
- No hospital or surgery center privileges needed
- Must be able to see both adult and pediatric patients
- Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient setting
- Comfortable managing a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
- Must be able to work with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Locum Tenens candidates with 3+ years of experience will be prioritized, but we will consider all qualified applicants, including those who are board-eligible if less than 5 years since residency
- Credentialing & Requirements:
- Credentialing typically takes 30-90 days, so early application is encouraged
- Required immunizations and health checks include flu vaccination, TB status, MMR titer, Hepatitis B titer, Varicella titer, and Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
- Active DEA registration is required before starting the assignment
- Chart closure within 72 hours is mandatory
