SUMMARY: The AR Collections Analyst must possess the knowledge, skills and ability to manage a challenging domestic and international portfolio, including high dollar chain accounts. Responsibilities include timely resolution of discrepancies, claim filing in customer portals and collection of past due items. The AR Collections Analyst must be able to build partnerships with internal/external customers to resolve issues and reduce aged balances. This role requires a proactive approach to quickly identify issues and drive root cause resolution. The AR Collections Analyst must create and utilize reporting to maximize efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and monitor accounts for payment delays, unusual activity, or issues that could affect cash flow. Research and resolve account differences involving foreign currency, exchange rates, bank fees, withholding taxes, and international payment activity. Collect outstanding receivables through timely claim filing in customer portals or by contacting AP counterparts; Compile backup for rebills ensuring customer rebill requirements are met Identify issues attributing to delinquency or discrepancies; Drive root cause resolution of issues whether customer or Renfro driven Build partnerships with internal/external customers; Ability to influence for desired outcome Provide routine and adhoc reporting to Leadership Team Analyze customer data to identify trends Challenge existing processes and develop practical solutions to improve efficiency, eliminate unnecessary steps, and strengthen AR workflows. Monitor EDI billed customers to ensure errors are identified and corrected timely Ensure proper documentation stored for retention/audit purposes according to Renfro company policies and procedures Ability to easily adapt to change while managing a challenging customer portfolio Ability to document processes in a clear and concise manner Participate in audits and prepare audit documentation that is easy to understand and demonstrates working knowledge of our processes
Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Associates Degree in related field a plus 1-2 years of experience in accounting Solid Accounts Receivable knowledge including collection strategies and deduction management Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Advanced problem-solver Indirect leader to peers Easily adapts to change Out of the box thinker Autonomous Excellent communication skills Detail oriented Self-starter Highly motivated Intermediate Excel User Experience with claim filing in customer portals
