About the role

PayPal Bank's Merchant And Consumer Savings Products Manager This role is responsible for the strategy, development, launch and ongoing management of PayPal Bank's Merchant and Consumer Savings deposit products. The role translates the Bank's approved business plan into executable product strategies, business requirements, customer journeys, operating requirement and launch-readiness criteria. Working as an individual contributor under the Head of Product, the position coordinates closely with Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Servicing, and PayPal affiliate-service providers to ensure products are customer-focused, financially viable, operationally sustainable and aligned with the Bank's regulatory obligations. The role maintains clear product accountability, supports governance and examination activities, and ensures product decisions, controls, performance and oversight are appropriately documented.
Essential Responsibilities: Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform. Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability. Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making. Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis. Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making. Monitors product profitability measures, including budget. Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed. Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.
Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications :Recent demonstrated experience managing deposit products within banking, fintech, or financial services, including product strategy, pricing, customer experience, servicing, and lifecycle management. Knowledge of merchant/small-business and consumer savings products, deposit pricing and funding, transfers, servicing, and account lifecycle management; experience with FBO or brokered deposit structures is a plus. Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, product governance reviews, control assessments, issue remediation, and regulatory response activities. Experience managing products delivered through affiliate, third-party, or shared-service models, including service levels, performance reporting, control evidence, and escalation processes. Experience building or managing deposit products during bank formation, a de novo launch, product conversion, or significant platform transformation. Relevant product, banking, risk, compliance, or project-management certification is preferred.
