ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Director of Operations for a leading nuclear instrumentation products manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing operations, quality compliance, and customer relations looking to further their career in the nuclear instrumentation industry. Oversee operations teams spanning Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Quality Assurance Serve as site General Manager with P&L accountability, strategic planning, and operational oversight across nuclear instrumentation product lines Drive manufacturing operations excellence, safety culture, and regulatory compliance in a highly regulated environment Manage key customer relationships as chief customer advocate; oversee site backlog and delivery commitment integrity Execute continuous improvement initiatives and strategic capacity planning to optimize productivity and cost efficiencyESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's DegreeLean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred 5-10+ years of manufacturing operations experience with demonstrated progression into senior operations leadership roles Advanced proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, P&L management, union labor relations, and direct people management in manufacturing environments Direct experience in commercial nuclear, defense, or scientific-instrumentation industries Experience managing low-volume, highly regulated, project-based manufacturing operations Knowledge of nuclear industry quality regime (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, ASME NQA-1) Government contracting experience and familiarity with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) Must be able to obtain a security clearanceWHY AVERRO?Averro is a veteran-owned staffing and solutions firm connecting top talent with cutting-edge companies.
