About the role
Description:
Veterinary Customer Service Representative | Thrive Manchaca Part-time: 2-3 shifts per week and some Saturdays are required
What you’ll do:
Greet clients and patients, answer and route multi-line phone calls, and respond to questions with empathy and professionalism
Schedule appointments, provide pre-visit instructions, and monitor schedules and wait times
Manage patient check-in and discharge, communicate veterinary team instructions, and triage urgent cases
Maintain accurate client and patient records, enter charges and reminders, and complete follow-up communication
Explain invoices, process payments, and complete daily financial and end-of-day reporting
Keep reception and exam areas clean, organized, and stocked
Follow hospital policies, maintain knowledge of services, attend required training, and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and customer service experience required; veterinary or animal healthcare experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, accuracy, empathy, and client service skills
Ability to use a multi-line phone system, computers, practice management systems, and payment-processing tools
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
Ability to stay on task and work energetically for entire shift, sometimes exceeding 10 hours per day.
Veterinary medical terminology knowledge and typing speed of approximately 45 words per minute preferred You’ll Grow with Us
