About the role
Overview
As Director of Marketing for Baxter’s Connected Care Group, you shape the growth and adoption of digital products and platforms that connect patients, clinicians, and customers. You’ll lead upstream and downstream marketing, align portfolio strategy with commercial goals, and drive data‑driven transformations to expand market reach. You will partner across Product Management, Sales, and Mar Com to translate insights into impactful, measurable outcomes. This is a strategic leadership role with hands‑on execution to ensure speed and quality in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities Shape portfolio growth strategy using market insights, competitive intelligence, and analytics Lead upstream and downstream marketing teams to drive adoption, expansion, and revenue growth Build and modernize marketing capabilities including digital and AI‑enabled approaches and scalable demand generation Align product strategy with commercial execution through positioning and go‑to‑market plans Develop and lead a high‑performing marketing organization and manage investment for ROIDrive marketing operations improvements, customer journey management, and portfolio performance measurement Own portfolio positioning and narrative to differentiate connected care solutions Develop multi‑year plans to build the Connected Care brand and manage 1–3 upstream and 1–3 downstream marketing reports Oversee campaigns, content, omnichannel strategies, and product launches to support growth Collaborate with regional teams, medical affairs, and sales to ensure cohesive messaging and execution Partner with Marketing Communications to create forward‑looking content and industry thought leadership Represent the function in cross‑functional leadership and communicate milestones to BU leadership
Key requirements Experience marketing complex software‑enabled or platform‑based healthcare solutions with demonstrated adoption impact Strong understanding of digital health ecosystems and enterprise IT environments Proven leadership in a matrixed organization and ability to influence across functions Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Independent work style with strategic collaboration and execution capability Willingness to travel up to 50% (including international)MBA and/or graduate degree is a plus 10+ years of marketing experience in Healthcare IT and 10+ years of cross‑functional leadership Technical understanding of IT, connected care environments, IP networking, and cloud/on‑prem solutions Track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaignscollaborativestrategic thinkerdata‑driven decision makerdigital health marketingAI‑enabled marketing and analyticsmarketing operations and demand generation
