About the role
- Design for Excellence (DfX) & Technical Transfer
- Participate in early-stage design reviews, providingDFM, DFA, DFR, DFT, and DFSrecommendations to identify manufacturability, quality, and supply chain risks.
- Work closely with R&D engineers and scientists to translate product requirements into manufacturable designs.
- Support engineering deliverables by completing BOMs, CAD drawings, and sourcing data within the PLM system.
- Generate, review and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) during pilot manufacturing.
- Proven experience releasing prototype designs into pilot and full production lifecycles.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-disciplinary electro-mechanical equipment.
- Demonstrated application of methodical root cause analysis frameworks (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).Experience utilizing CAD, ERP/MRP, and PLM/QMS software tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent project management, leadership, and cross-functional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools & Software:
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, NetSuite ERP/MRP, and Arena PLM/QMS.Process Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of advanced fabrication, assembly, and functional testing methods.
- PMP, PE, Lean, or Six Sigma Black/Green Belt.
