OVERVIEW: The Trade Compliance Analyst II is responsible for supporting the DICK'S Sporting Goods import trade compliance program with a focus on Import National Brands where DSG serves as the Importer of Record and the integration and alignment of the DSG/Foot Locker trade programs. This role ensures compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, international trade laws and company policies/SOP through product classification, auditing, process improvement, reporting and stakeholder collaboration. The Trade Compliance Analyst II serves as a key resource to merchants, vendors, sourcing teams, logistics partners and other internal stakeholders by providing guidance on import compliance requirements, maintaining classification accuracy and supporting strategic initiatives that promote compliance, operational efficiency and cost savings.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification support for Import National Brand products Ensure compliance with CBP regulations, customs requirements, and international trade laws Maintain accurate classification data within internal systems and databases Assist with customs-related inquiries and compliance reviews to support timely and compliant importation Support Customs audits, internal reviews, and corrective action initiatives Monitor vendor adherence to DSG import requirements and compliance standards Partner with National Brand vendors and merchants to facilitate compliant product imports Assist in onboarding new vendors and programs by ensuring compliance requirements are understood and implemented Trade Process Improvement & Documentation Develop and communicate import compliance guidelines, requirements, and expectations to vendors and internal business partners Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data accuracy across compliance activities Participate in compliance-related projects, system enhancements, and process integrations Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Reduce Risk and Strengthen Partnerships Partner with Legal, Logistics, Sourcing, Buying, Finance, and other business teams to align compliance objectives with business goals Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness of trade compliance requirements Assist with integrating and aligning trade compliance practices across DSG and Foot Locker, including audit programs, First Sale initiatives, and related compliance controls Serve as a subject matter resource on compliance implications related to sourcing decisions, new product launches, and special programs QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Business administration or equivalent 1 - 3 Years of experience in Import trade compliance, international trade laws, HTS Classification, international logistics or related field Customs Brokerage License (preferred but not required) Experience utilizing CBP ACE reporting and trade compliance systems Utilization of AI and automation tools to improve processes, procedures and SOPs Knowledge of classification, customs valuation and audit programs VIRTUAL REQUIREMENTSAt DICK'S, we thrive on innovation and authenticity.
