About the role
Job Description
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am-5:30pm, overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the storage and issuance of tools and equipment to staff while maintaining accurate records of all transactions
- Conduct regular inspections and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools to ensure their longevity and reliability
- Manage tool inventory by tracking the location, condition, and availability of tools, and initiating procurement for replacements and repairs
- Organize and maintain the tool room for efficient operation and easy access to tools and equipment
- Assist staff in choosing the correct tools for specific jobs and provide guidance on proper tool usage
- Collaborate with supervisors to forecast tool needs and prepare orders for new supplies
- Implement and enforce tool control and safety policies
Experience Required:
- 0-2 years of experience in tool room operations, inventory management, or a related field
- NecessarySkillsFamiliarity with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Basic computer skills for inventory management purposes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for interacting with staff and vendors#ZRNC
