About the role
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for internal, cross-functional support and services for the workplace including Human Resources and IT Infrastructure. Develops, designs, implements, and enhances applicable policies and programs that support a positive employee experience, productivity, safety, and support company results. Partners with leadership across the organization to provide programs aligned with the organization’s operational objectives, mission, and values. Builds and develops the teams and technology resources to enhance the employee experience, meets evolving organizational needs, and creates innovative programs.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Human Resources
Directs talent acquisition and retention, employee relations and employee training &development programs that support the achievement of company goals. Oversees all talent management activities including planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee performance; developing and monitoring career development opportunities; training managers to effectively coach and discipline employees; schedules management conferences to promote trust and alignment; conducts investigations &hearings and resolves employee concerns; counsels employees and managers. Responsible for the overall strategy and implementation of an appropriate and competitive employee total rewards package by conducting periodic pay surveys; overseeing job evaluations; planning and implementing pay structures; classification revisions; and developing and maintaining incentive &reward programs.
IT Infrastructure:
Leads and directs IT Infrastructure personnel with database management, data security, telecommunications, and information systems training.
Oversees implementation and maintenance of company-wide system tools.
Implements and maintains operating policies to mitigate risk.
Partners with European HQs to contribute, develop and implement the global IT strategy at the US location.
Oversees the process to maintain and implement the IT security policy within the organization.
Contributes to the company business interruption plan from an IT infrastructure perspective.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the supervision of the Human Resources and IT Infrastructure team members, ensuring excellent service, performance, and cross-training of all job functions. Ensures cross-functional collaboration and coordination of resources for effective execution of company projects. Maintains the company’s budget for all applicable functions. Has signature authority for company’s payroll account. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge in federal and state laws to advise leadership with solutions. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements; conducts investigations; maintains records; and attends company hearings. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal and professional networks; and participating in professional societies. Aware of and complies with company Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position. Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. Performs highly confidential tasks for the Co-CEOs and Executive Vice President. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources, or Organizational Development strongly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources or applicable experience. Minimum of 3 years of Management experience Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly preferred Strong knowledge of legal and compliance standards for applicable federal agencies such as DOL, OSHA, OFCCP as well as state and local requirements. Ability to maintain highest levels of confidentiality Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and management Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Extremely detail-oriented, self-starter, motivated and outgoing Good presentation and business writing skills Intermediate to advanced PC user, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite of products Experience with HRIS and other HR-related technologies Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
