Job Title: Assembly and Test Assistant
Job Summary:
The Assembly and Test Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of assembling, modifying, testing, and installing accelerator systems and/or components with company specifications. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations, diagnose causes of malfunction and testing products using various equipment, and establishing and implementing test parameters.

Responsibilities:
- Gather parts, engineering drawings, and test data to follow written procedures or apply knowledge of proper system assemblies.
- Work with technicians and engineers during assembly of the accelerator systems and/or components
- Hands-on support, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
- Calibrate and test electrical components.
- Perform maintenance, modifcation, and repair of parts using specific equipment procedures.
- Operate various hand and power tools and apparatus required to fabricate equipment.
- Apply and practice Quality Assurance processes to ensure products are within tolerances and safe to deliver to customers.
- Communicate and interface with customers, team members and individuals with technical discussions and solutions.
- Aid in the loading and/or unloading incoming and/or outgoing shipments.
- Assist with shipping accelerator systems by creating crates and packaging of components after the final test.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and maintain safety certifications for forklift operation, DOT HAZMAT shipping, and overhead cranes.
- Maintain a clean work environment for accurate and efficient custom product builds.

- Familiarity with radiation and material hazard protocol and safety
- Ability to use power tools and common hand tools such as a saw, nail gun, wrench, screwdriver.
- Ability to use forklift, pallet jack, hand lifts, and overhead crane.
- Knowledge of plumbing for liquid and air-colling systems.
Work Environment: Warehouse setting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for prolonged periods of time when fabricating equipment and performing maintenance work.
Frequently exposed to dust, dirt, grease, or oil when fabricating and maintaining equipment.
Frequently required to work in uncomfortable or confined workspaces when fabricating and repairing equipment.
Ability to perform a high degree of manual dexterity.
Ability to perform operations of lifting, bending, crouching, squatting, twisting, and reaching overhead.
Eyesight vision of, or corrected to 20/20.
Travel: Occasional international travel is required.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in mechanical or technical field preferred. Previous hands-on mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
