About the role
Job Title
Essential Duties:
Perform visual inspection of vehicles; walk around vehicle to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
Notate any issues on VCR/CPO and enter data into the JLR system when it becomes available.
Inspect functional operations; doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, etc.
Facilitate installments; guides, manuals, warnings, floormats, etc. adhering to CPO.Release vehicles for further service and/or work as needed.
Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.Valid US Driver's License
- Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
- Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must have demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Must possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented.
- Physical Working Attributes:
- Work in confined spaces
- Work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
- Lift, push, and or pull up to 20lbs
- Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending
- Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions, which may exist from time to time.
