Position Title: Demolition Project Manager
A well-established construction company is seeking a Demolition Project Manager to oversee structural and interior demolition projects throughout Greater Chicagoland and Wisconsin. This role will manage multiple active projects from execution through completion, coordinate with field leadership, conduct regular job-site visits, oversee change orders, and ensure work complies with environmental remediation guidelines. The ideal candidate is a confident, self-directed demolition professional with 3+ years of hands-on project management experience who understands both structural and interior demolition, knows how to prioritize active job sites, and can effectively lead a junior Project Manager.
Salary Range: $105,000 - $150,000 / annually, DOEResponsibilitiesManage approximately 7–12 active structural and interior demolition projects at a time, ranging from smaller assignments to large-scale building demolition Oversee demolition projects typically ranging from $50K–$650K, along with larger projects as assigned Conduct regular job-site visits throughout Greater Chicagoland and Wisconsin, typically one to two sites per day Coordinate closely with superintendents, foremen, field teams, and internal leadership to keep projects on schedule Ensure demolition activities follow applicable environmental remediation guidelines and project requirements Manage change-order estimating and related project documentation Provide direction, oversight, and support to a junior Project Manager
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience managing demolition projects
  • Direct experience with both structural and interior demolition, including full-building demolition
  • Strong understanding of environmental remediation guidelines related to demolition work
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple active projects, priorities, and job sites
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a junior Project Manager
  • Confident, energetic, and self-directed approach with sound judgment in the field
  • Experience with HCSS is a plus
