About the role

Sales Accounting Specialist The Sales Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of sales-related financial records, manufacturer account reconciliations, inventory and rental reporting, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company procedures. Accounting and Reconciliation Reconcile primary manufacturer accounts, research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Perform regular stock checks and inventory audits to verify accuracy of inventory records. Investigate and reconcile inventory variances ensuring adjustments are properly documented and reported. Maintain accurate warranty for In Stock Units. Rental Accounting and Reporting Conduct periodic rental report audits to ensure compliance with Dealer Agreement requirements. Maintain rental classifications to support accurate reporting and financial records. Assist rental personnel with rental reporting, resolving discrepancies, and addressing rental questions. Sales Administration Process dealer transfers, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and supporting documentation is complete. Assist with the processing of direct sales including related accounting entries, documentation, and reporting. Collaborate with sales personnel to resolve transaction discrepancies. General Responsibilities Maintain organized and accurate records in accordance with company policy and procedures. Provide support to all sales accounting personnel and Corporate Receptionist as needed. Assist with special projects and other duties assigned and directed by corporate management within the framework of Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company's objectives. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Strong social perspectives and awareness of other reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Able to handle sensitive and difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Energetic, forward thinking and creative with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. Maintains confidentiality in oral and written communications. Stay focused under pressure. Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner. Physical Requirements and Work Schedule Employees must be able to do occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Education/Work Experience Previous experience in accounting, inventory control, sales administration, or related field preferred.
