About the role
CDL Equipment Operator Michigan Broadband Services is looking for a CDL Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal applicant will be willing to perform physical labor, work efficiently, and be highly self-motivated. This position offers a highly competitive wage and a full benefit package. On-site training is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Installs and maintains underground telecommunications cabling and supports aerial construction as required.
- Assists in all phases of underground construction including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
- Manages the use and care of all maintenance including power equipment, trucks, and hand tools.
- Works safely around heavy equipment and machinery. Maintains safe working habits and work conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and company policies.
- Must be willing to travel in Michigan and work some weekends
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CDL (Class A) license is required 1+ years of construction experience
- Working knowledge of construction trenching, placing of duct CIC, fiber pedestals and vaults
- High level of energy motivation and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving history, void of suspensions and revocations
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening to include MVR, Background Check, and Drug Screening
