About the role
Skill Development ParentChildServe's Supported Community Living (SCL) service has a job for you! As a Skill Development Parent, you will provide 1:1 personal care, skill development, supervision, and training individualized for your child. Please note, this is a temporary position. Flexible hours! Most shifts occur after 4pm Monday Friday or on the weekends.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Have fun and work with your child, 1:1 to teach daily living skills
- Be creative while engaging children in activities
- Receive ongoing training and supervision
- Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing
What You'll Need:
Eligibility & Background: Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and be a parent of a child receiving services at ChildServeCommunication & Documentation: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to document observations and services accurately
Technology & Training: Basic computer skills and reliable internet access are required for documentation and online training
Transportation Requirements:
Must be willing to transport as an authorized ChildServe driver, with a valid driver's license (held for 3 years), passing a motor vehicle record and car safety check Reliability & Compliance: Must have punctual attendance, pass criminal and child abuse background checks, and communicate effectively in English.
