About the role

Fp&A Leader Ascension Search Partners has been retained by a high growth industrial services company who is seeking an FP&A Leader to elevate financial planning, performance visibility, and strategic decision support. This highly visible role will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to turn complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations that drive profitable growth. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to build scalable planning practices, influence critical business decisions, and help shape the organization's next stage of growth. The Impact Strengthen financial planning: Build and improve forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and long-range planning processes that give leaders a reliable view of future performance. Turn data into decisions: Connect financial results with operational drivers, identify emerging trends, and translate findings into clear, actionable executive recommendations. Create meaningful performance visibility: Develop practical KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting that highlight business performance, risks, and opportunities. Improve operating performance: Partner with operational and functional leaders to evaluate profitability, resource allocation, project economics, working capital, and cost optimization opportunities. Support strategic decisions: Deliver fact-based analysis for pricing, investments, growth initiatives, market opportunities, and other high-impact business decisions. Elevate executive reporting: Prepare concise, decision-ready financial materials that clearly communicate performance, outlook, key drivers, and recommended actions to senior leadership. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. At least five years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting. Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities, along with experience working with complex data and financial, planning, reporting, or business-intelligence platforms. Strong business judgment and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders and explain financial insights to non-financial audiences. Experience supporting a multi-location, project-based, field-services, construction, or similarly operational organization is strongly preferred.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
