About the role

Team: A tech-first hedge fund is looking for an exceptional Quantitative Software Engineer to join a high-impact, elite team working at the edge of algorithmic trading. Small in size but huge in success, this firm deploys systematic, data-driven strategies across global markets - including Equities, Futures, and FX. You won’t just be building tools - you’ll be partnering directly with world-class Quant Researchers to turn ambitious, moon-shot ideas into real, profitable trades. From alpha discovery to signal research, your work will have an immediate and tangible impact.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Architecting and building custom research infrastructure for alpha estimation, risk modeling, and backtesting
  • Developing high-performance tools and platforms for data analytics and signal generation
  • Writing code that supports both live trading and simulation environments
  • Creating smart, scalable systems for data storage, integrity checks, and pipeline automation
  • Ensuring performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical research infrastructure
What we’re looking for:
  • STEM degree from a top-tier institution
  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (Big Tech, hedge fund, prop shop, or start-up background preferred)
  • Deep fluency in Python and/or C++
  • Serious problem-solving chops and a product-driven mindset
  • A sharp commercial instinct and hunger to work at the intersection of tech and finance
  • Apply or get in touch if this sounds like you..

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
