Founded out of the Thou Art Woman art event series in 2014, BLINC treats art not as a supplement to our mission but as the intervention itself, creating space for connection, healing, and collective power. Our programs include Thou Art Woman and BLINC 360.We envision a world where BIPOC LGBTQ+ people are safe, seen, and free. POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative & Programs Assistant keeps BLINC's day-to-day operations and programs running smoothly so the rest of the team can focus on community. This is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role for someone who enjoys variety, stays organized under shifting priorities, and wants to contribute directly to a growing BIPOC LGBTQ+ organization. The Assistant will work closely with the Executive Director and program leads across all of BLINC's initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: AdministrativeManage the general inbox ( hello@blinc.love ), responding to routine inquiries and routing others appropriatelyMaintain organized digital and physical filing systems, including donor and contact recordsSupport scheduling and calendar coordination for the Executive Director and board meetingsAssist with data entry and upkeep of donor, volunteer, and community contact databasesOrder supplies, coordinate office needs, and handle basic bookkeeping tasks such as receipt trackingHelp prepare materials for board meetings, including agendas and minutesProgram SupportAssist with event registration, check‑in, and day‑of logistics across BLINC programsInput program data into BLINC's impact measurement tracker, including attendance, participant feedback, and other reporting dataProvide general administrative support to program leads as neededSECONDARY / AS-NEEDED RESPONSIBILITIESSupport event setup and breakdown, including some evenings and weekendsAssist with outreach efforts, including tabling at community eventsHelp coordinate logistics with vendors and venues under the direction of program leadsProvide administrative coordination for communications efforts, such as sharing info with the social media and marketing teamQUALIFICATIONSAt least one year of administrative, office, or program coordination experience; nonprofit experience a plusStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities independentlyProficiency with Google Workspace and general comfort learning new software (e.g., Zeffy, Eventbrite, Canva) Warm, professional communication style, both written and verbalGenuine comfort and alignment working within BIPOC LGBTQ+ community spacesFamiliarity or experience with the arts preferred but not requiredReliable transportation and ability to attend occasional evening and weekend events in South FloridaWHAT WE OFFER The opportunity to grow with a mission‑driven organization at a pivotal moment in its development, hands‑on experience across nonprofit operations and programming, and a flexible, collaborative work environment centered in community.
