About the role
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and engaged team member to join our growing organization. The Drawer Box Assembler is responsible for assembling drawer boxes used in cabinet manufacturing according to work orders, specifications, and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all workplace safety rules and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Assemble drawer boxes using wood components, hardware, and fasteners according to specificationsRead and follow work orders, drawings, and assembly instructionsOperate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and small assembly equipment safely and efficientlyEnsure drawer boxes meet quality, dimension, and finish standardsInspect assembled drawer boxes for defects, fit, and accuracyPerform minor adjustments or rework as needed to meet quality requirementsMeet production standards for output, quality, and efficiencyCommunicate issues with materials, hardware, or processes to supervisorsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to read basic measurements and use measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and craftsmanshipAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsManual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable, punctual, and quality-focusedJob Qualifications and EducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in manufacturing, expediting, production control, or cabinet industry preferredKnowledge of cabinet manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods a plusPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach, for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50?75lbs occasionallyExposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing environmentUse of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
