REQUIREMENTS: Must be a minimum of 16 years oldMust successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background checkMust be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shiftsMust have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with staffMust be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skillsMust be able to operate a computerMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 poundsMust be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach (including overhead) Must have adequate strength, balance, and coordination to perform essential functionsMust be able to work indoors and outdoors, including endurance of temperature and weather changes outsideJOB KNOWLEDGE:The candidate will be trained in how to perform every function of the car wash, including: Operating the Express Wash kiosk, credit card machines, and POSEfficiently and safely guide vehicles through the car washContinuously maintain and repair car wash equipmentPerforming preventative maintenance and minor repairs on car wash equipmentDetailing vehicles as trained and directedMaintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization at the facilityKnowledgeable of site merchandiseDUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:Arrive to work on time, consistentlyUpon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair. Wear safety goggles and non-slip shoes when necessaryHair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approvalAttend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetingsReport any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environmentSafely and properly handle chemicalsBecome proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety featuresMaintain and contribute to a positive and supportive team environmentProvide excellent customer service with prompt assistance and accommodations to guest questions or requests. Maintain eye contact with customer and smileFacilitate a fast vehicle processing by following the correct procedure for every vehicle through the car washGuide guests using distinctive and clear hand signals in accordance to established proceduresReview the loading sign directions with every guest and give the guest a "thumbs up" when their vehicle is placed and ready to start the wash processMaintain a high level of cleanliness and organization of the facility, including cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and storage rooms; stocking supplies; emptying trash cans; changing light bulbs; placing towels in dispensers; and changing paper and ink cartridges in the registersCheck every vehicle for it enters the wash tunnel to ensure that the vehicle does not have any visible safety issuesPerform vehicle detailing services as trained and directedOperate Express Wash kiosks, credit card machines, and POSLearn how to perform minor repair and maintenance on car wash equipment and apply this knowledge when necessaryThe above description reflects on the general details considered to describe the principle functions of the job.
