$150,000 to $170,000
About the role
- Prospect and win new business with exhibit houses, trade show companies, and retail environment builders across the WestGet in at the front end of the customer's concept, contributing ideas on what can be built and how, then bring in project managers and designers to execute
- Explain clearly, in the customer's own language, why this product outperforms the alternatives
- Grow and retain accounts for the long term, not just book the first order
- Build your own territory plan, activity cadence, and pipeline tracking in HubSpotTravel 20 to 25 percent: roughly one field day per week, plus a monthly trip across Southern California, Northern California, Phoenix, Denver, or Las Vegas depending on your home base
- What You Bring
- Business-to-business sales experience with a record of self-generated new business, not only inherited accounts or inbound leads
- The ability to walk through a deal you won from first contact to award: the customer's problem, your solution, and why they chose you over a competitor
- A consultative, differentiation-led selling style; you defend value rather than discount
- Practical technical aptitude, including reading construction drawings and understanding how things go together
- A creative instinct at the front of the sale
- The drive to operate independently in a fully remote seat without being fed leads
- Residence in the Western United States, ideally Las Vegas; California is also considered
- Strongly Preferred
- Experience in trade show and exhibit, large-format or silicon edge graphics, AV and LED display, install and dismantle, metal fabrication, point of purchase display, or store fixtures
- Experience selling a configurable or custom manufactured product
- Relationships with exhibit houses, general service contractors, or retail environment builders
- Multi-state territory ownership
- Total compensation target of $150,000 to $170,000 in Year 1Your choice of two comp plans: a higher base with a lower commission rate, or a lower base with a higher commission rate, with the option to switch at six months or one year
- Higher new-business commission rate in the West during Year 1Healthcare effective day one 401(k)
- Mileage and cell phone reimbursement
- LinkedIn and a full sales tool stack provided
- Weekends are your own; the company does not staff or walk trade shows
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
