About the role

Staff Product Designer- Agentic Platform New York, NY
About Us: EvolutionIQ’s mission is to deliver state of the art technology that helps insurance claims teams make claims handling more accurate, fair, and efficient, so that more people impacted by injury or illness can continue their lives with dignity and stability. We are currently experiencing massive growth and to accomplish our goals, we are hiring world-class talent who want to help build and scale internally, and transform the insurance space. Our team is our #1 priority, and we have been named one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces 3 years in a row and Built In’s Best Places to work in 2025 and 2026!
About You: An experienced Staff Product Designer who is energized by ambiguity and by shaping entirely new product experiences around emerging technology within a complex problems space such as insurance claims management. You are comfortable defining how customers may interact with agentic products; what the system should automate, explain, or leave under human control, and how the product earns trust. You operate as a thought partner to Product and Engineering. You bring clarity to high-stakes, unsolved problems, framing the right questions, aligning partners and clients, and driving decisions that move the product and business forward. You are a master of the design craft and raise the bar for everyone around you through your work.
In this Role, You Will: Lead the strategic vision and conceptual design outcomes which provide a clear direction for our customer experiences across the AI landscape Design human and AI agent interactions, including how the system communicates uncertainty, automation, control, intervention, and recovery Define the experience model: conceptual model, information architecture, core workflows, interaction patterns, and guiding principles, and build the reusable agentic patterns and design-system foundations that let it scale Conduct discovery directly with clients to inform experience decisions, and validate concepts through rapid prototyping and usability testing Establish a scalable experience architecture across a complex, evolving platform, along with reusable agentic patterns and foundational design-system components Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional team members to shape the product, navigating tradeoffs across user needs, AI/ML capabilities, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements
What You Will Need: 10+ years designing digital products, including leading 0-to-1 and emerging-technology products in B2B enterprise software and highly regulated or complex problem spaces Demonstrated experience designing AI/ML or data-driven products, with genuine fluency in how AI systems behave and how that shapes product direction; including agentic or human-in-the-loop experiences Exceptional systems thinking: you see patterns, anticipate edge cases, design for scale, and establish reusable frameworks and standards Proven ability to set experience strategy and bring structure to ambiguous, business-critical problems with little precedent Experience in end-to‑end UX/product design to design impactful solutions to challenging problems Exceptional communication skills: you can articulate design decisions using product thinking, frameworks, research, and data to influence direction with cross‑functional partners, executives, and clients Raise the bar for the people around you, as an individual contributor, through your work and your feedback.
Compensation: The base salary range is$210 - $230K, with flexibility depending on a candidate’s background and experience. An annual bonus plan and company equity plan (RSUs) are also included in our compensation package. Well-Being: Medical, dental, vision, short & long‑term disability, life insurance and AD&D, and 401k matching. Additional family, wellness, and pet benefits. Home & Family: Paid time off and sick leave, 100% paid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers). We offer a flexible schedule for new parents returning to work. Office Life: Catered lunches, happy hours, pet‑friendly spaces, and monthly technology stipend. Growth & Training:$1,000/year for each employee for professional development, as well opportunities for tuition reimbursement.
Sponsorship: We are open to sponsoring candidates currently in the U.S. who need to transfer their active visa. Please check with our Recruiting team if your visa is applicable for transfer. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
