Behavioral Health Technician Simple Staffing is hiring for this position on behalf of Embark Behavioral Health. We internally promote. As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you'll partner with licensed clinicians to provide direct patient care, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and therapeutic engagement.
Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate group activities (art, music, recreation) to build coping skills
  • Provide behavioral support, mentoring, and structured routines
  • Use evidence-based, trauma-informed care techniques
  • Document progress and collaborate with clinical teams
  • Respond to escalations using safe intervention protocols
Qualifications:
  • 21+ with HS diploma/GED (degree in human services preferred)0–1+ year in behavioral health, education, coaching, or youth services (preferred)
  • Willingness for CPR/First Aid, physical intervention training (provided)
  • Ability to stand, move quickly, and support crisis stabilization
  • Must pass background and drug screening per MO law
  • Bonus for prior mental health or youth experience
