Summary: Seeking a highly motivated Bioprocess Specialist with experience in manufacturing operations related to fermentation, biotech, or food processing. The role involves supporting high-performance RNA production processes and products, working within a team-based operational manufacturing environment, and utilizing strong communication skills.
Responsibilities: Participate as an active member of a cross-functional operational team to establish and maintain commercial RNA production processes for agricultural applications. Execute manufacturing operations including biochemical reactions, separation processes, filtration, formulation, pasteurization, cleaning, and packaging. Develop, follow, and improve Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for equipment and processes. Maintain cleanliness and organization in process areas, warehouses, control rooms, storage, chemical inventory, docks, labs, and waste disposal areas. Support analytical lab processes by conducting lab testing for process evaluation and data collection as needed. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and cranes safely and efficiently. Load materials safely, maintain organized workstations, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Contribute to a safe work environment, exercise good record-keeping practices, and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and continuous improvement.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; experience in chemical, food, or life sciences is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot process systems and resolve operational challenges. Demonstrated dependability, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn. Motivated to contribute to the scale-up of new biological technologies. Adaptable to a fast-paced and changing operational environment. Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for prolonged periods. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
