**Become a part of our caring community**Are you a transitioning military service member or a Military Spouse looking for an internship that supports the goal to put health first? During the period of this unpaid internship, you will work with the Medicaid Clinical Services team to ensure interaction between us and members are optimized. The Care Management Support Assistant Internship provides an opportunity to train and work with Humana's Medicaid Team. This internship is available to transitioning service members eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Internship, as well as military spouses eligible to participate in the Military Spouse Fellowship. If you are interested in this position, we will require you to confirm eligibility.The Care Management Support Assistant Intern will utilize Humana's Medicaid training. This training will enable the intern to engage formerly acquired skillsets to perform various tasks. These tasks include installation, implementation, client support, client services, client administration, customer service, enrollment, and eligibility. Additionally, the intern will be responsible for claims processing and call center operations. Investigate and settle claims and customer service issues.Decisions typically focus on methods and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly, the individual exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting procedures, processes, and techniques. Additionally, they adapt these procedures, processes, and techniques as needed. Due to their previous experience, breadth, and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge, they work under limited guidance.In this role, you will be outreaching Parents or Facilities to confirm PPEC services and scheduling face-to-face visits. You will also be verifying ABA authorizations and services, and assisting members with payment for past due utilities, internet, or housing assistance they are behind on. This process may require extensive research.You will collaborate with the Market and Care Managers regarding member needs. You must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences and be a Team Player.**Use your skills to make an impact****Required Qualifications**Transitioning Service Member eligible to participate in SkillBridge or military spouse eligible to participate in the military spouse fellowshipMinimum 1 year of customer service experience, including typing/data entryProfessional healthcare experience or education in a healthcare disciplineProficient in Microsoft Office Outlook and WordWorking knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical skills new systems with the ability to work with multiple screens and databases while with data entry.**Must be a Military Spouse approved for this internship****Preferred Qualifications**CGX and QuickBaseAssociate or Bachelor's DegreeClerical support background in a healthcare environmentFamiliarity with medical terminology or ICD-10 codesCNA or Medical Assistant backgroundQuality backgroundMedicaid experienceWork at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.
