Warehouse and Delivery Associate:
The Warehouse and Delivery Associate is responsible for receiving material orders from vendors and ensuring that material orders are received correctly and undamaged. The Warehouse and Delivery Associate also stages materials to be installed and ensures that the material orders going out for installation are complete. The Warehouse and Delivery Associate also manages the warehouse inventory in an organized and efficient manner. Warehouse and Delivery Associate is also responsible for safely delivering materials to the jobsite.
Job Functions and Duties:
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Interior Specialties products and services.
- Identify any problems with product materials, and work with vendors to resolve product materials problems quickly and effectively.
- Communicate with the scheduling manager about installer and installation issues.
- Track orders of materials.
- Manages the tools and equipment inventory.
- Check delivered orders for damage and completeness.
- Label delivered materials and store them in the warehouse in an organized manner.
- Stage materials and supplies for the next day installation and verify all materials are accounted for.
- Ensure that materials prepared for installers are complete, undamaged, and ready to be installed when they leave the warehouse.
- Perform ongoing inventory management.
- Deliver materials to job site with the company trucks.
- Assist our installation team when needed.
- Maintain the company trucks in a clean and organized manner
- Maintain our warehouse in a clean and organized manner
- Assist with forklift maintenance scheduling.
- Build effective relationships with customers, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support the core values and core focus of the company.
- Communicate with installers to determine any new issues that require changes to company policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned
- Required Experience, Education, and SkillsThe warehouse manager should possess the following:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse management
- Minimum 2 years of experience scheduling installations and measurements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to organize and complete multiple priorities
- Ability to thoroughly manage detailsOSHA 10-hour certified
- Forklift operation certification
- Typical Working Conditions
- Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour for lunch
- The warehouse manager must be able to effectively climb a ladder and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
