About the role

We are currently partnered with a consumer and technology-focused investment fund that is looking to add a Consumer-focused L/S Equity Analyst to its investment team in New York. The role will focus on fundamental, bottom-up research across the Consumer sector, with the opportunity to take significant ownership of the coverage universe and develop into a Sector Head over time.
Responsibilities: Conduct fundamental, bottom-up research on Consumer companies Build detailed financial models and valuation frameworks Develop and present differentiated investment ideas Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings and industry developments Contribute directly to the investment process and portfolio decisions Opportunity: Significant ownership over the Consumer coverage universe Direct exposure to senior investment professionals High-autonomy environment with meaningful responsibility Opportunity to build and lead the Consumer coverage effort and progress into a Sector Head role
Requirements: 3+ years of public equities buy-side investment experience Consumer investing experience strongly preferred Proven track record of generating fundamental L/S investment ideas Strong financial modelling and valuation skills Ability to conduct deep, independent research and communicate investment theses clearlyNYC-based or willing to relocate
