About the role

Architectural Project Coordinator Interplan is a commercial architecture and engineering firm with more than 50 years of experience serving restaurant and retail clients nationwide. Our growing Orlando office is seeking an Architectural Project Coordinator to support and lead the delivery of small commercial projects. In this role, you will develop construction documents, coordinate with in-house engineering teams and outside consultants, and help ensure projects are practical, code-compliant, and on schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging architectural professional pursuing licensure and ready to build toward a Project Architect or Project Manager role.
Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day execution of small projects with limited oversight from a Project Architect or Project Manager. Produce accurate architectural construction documents, specifications, and project deliverables. Coordinate with in-house MEP teams, consultants, contractors, clients, and municipal agencies. Lead or support project kickoff meetings and maintain clear project communication. Resolve routine design, documentation, code, and coordination issues. Delegate and review CAD Technician work; maintain drawing quality and project standards. Manage assigned scope within project schedules and budgets. Research and apply zoning, building-code, and permitting requirements. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and occasional client meetings. Continue developing technical, coordination, and project-management skills through hands-on project experience and mentorship.
Qualifications: 3+ years of commercial architecture experience. Bachelor's degree in Architecture preferred, or equivalent architectural education and drafting/design experience. Experience preparing architectural construction documents. Working knowledge of zoning, building codes, permitting, and the architect's scope of services. Understanding of MEP drawings and systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite; Revit experience is a plus. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively; occasional travel for site visits and client meetings. Why Join Interplan? Own meaningful work on commercial projects for nationwide restaurant and retail clients. Collaborate directly with an integrated architecture and engineering team. Gain experience in design, documentation, permitting, coordination, and client service. Develop toward licensure, Project Architect, or Project Manager responsibilities. Receive professional development, mentorship, comprehensive benefits, and a performance-based bonus program. This is a full-time, in-office position in our Orlando office. Join Interplan and help create spaces that celebrate humanity.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
