About the role
- Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through accepted offer
- Prioritize active searches that align with your recruiting experience
- Source passive candidates using LinkedIn, Boolean search, X-ray search, GitHub, professional communities, referrals, and other channels
- Conduct structured candidate screens covering experience, technical alignment, compensation, location, work authorization, and career motivation
- Present qualified candidates with accurate, compelling submission profiles
- Obtain candidate consent and verify potential duplicate submissions
- Manage candidates throughout interviews, feedback, offer negotiations, and closing
- Maintain consistent follow-up and deliver a professional candidate experience
- Follow all client, confidentiality, and submission requirements
- Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate candidate records
- Work independently while collaborating with Talent Stack on search strategy and candidate calibration
- What You Bring5 or more years of full-cycle recruiting or technical sourcing experience
- Proven success recruiting for technology startups, software companies, or highly technical organizations
- Experience recruiting software engineers and other difficult-to-find technical professionals
- Strong understanding of technical positions, engineering environments, and startup hiring needs
- Advanced sourcing skills using LinkedIn, Boolean search, X-ray search, GitHub, market mapping, referrals, and AI-assisted tools
- Ability to assess candidates beyond keywords and submit only qualified, interested talent
- Strong candidate-management, follow-up, negotiation, and closing abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple active searches without sacrificing quality
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the discipline to work independently
- Your own computer, phone, reliable internet connection, and sourcing tools
- Capacity to dedicate a minimum of approximately 20 hours per week
- Availability for necessary communication during U.S. business hours
- Existing network of software engineering, AI, product, or startup professionals
- Successful placements with seed-stage through growth-stage technology companies
- Experience supporting venture-backed startups with demanding hiring standards
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field
- Compensation1099 independent-contractor engagement
- Commission-only compensation
- High-percentage commissions based on successful placements
- Select searches carry total placement fees of $25,000 or more
- No salary, hourly wage, employee benefits, or guaranteed income
- Uncapped earning potential based on recruiter production
