A privately-held manufacturing company in Spring Grove, IL that focuses on electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and wire processing is seeking an advanced wire cutter. Advanced Wire Cutter Duties and Responsibilities: Identify proper specifications from cut sheets and job orders. Manually and digitally set up wire-cutting machines to job specifications. Maintain and troubleshoot wire-cutting machines. Inspect products to ensure they meet specifications. Communicate problems with machine operation and set-up supervisor. Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Work while standing on a concrete floor the majority of time. Maintain a brisk pace and meet generally accepted production rates.
Advanced Wire Cutter Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Able to convert fractions to decimals (this can be taught but must be willing to learn)
  • Ability to read a ruler to 1/64 of an inch.
  • Set up own machine (this can be taught but must be willing to learn)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
