Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is an innovative U.S. manufacturer developing advanced motion-control technologies for highly engineered applications where reliability, precision, and performance are critical. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design electronic hardware, motor-control systems, and test equipment supporting advanced BLDC motor technologies from initial concept through production. - FocusDesign and develop electronic hardware for motor-control applications, including electrical circuits, printed circuit boards, controller electronics, and supporting systems.
- Design and develop electrical and electronic test equipment used to evaluate motor, controller, and product performance.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, engineering documentation, and technical design records.
- Develop, prototype, bring up, evaluate, and troubleshoot embedded electronic hardware, PCBs, and electrical assemblies.
- Support verification and validation activities, product performance testing, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges throughout product development.
- Provide engineering support through design, testing, production introduction, and continuous product improvement.
- Participate in root-cause investigations and develop practical corrective actions for electrical and electronic system issues.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to product reliability, manufacturability, and overall performance.
- Skill SetBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Five or more years of professional electrical engineering experience.
- Professional experience designing electronic hardware and supporting electronic product development within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong professional experience in electronic circuit design, PCB design, and board bring-up.
- Hands-on experience with embedded electronic hardware and electrical systems.
- Ability to develop and interpret electrical schematics, technical documentation, and engineering design records.
- Experience taking electronic products or systems through development, prototyping, testing, validation, and production.
- Experience working within structured engineering documentation, verification and validation, and quality processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with motor-control electronics, BLDC motor controllers, power electronics, Altium Designer, LabVIEW, regulated manufacturing environments, or firmware development is highly desirable.
