About the role
To support the transformation of long-form content into engaging short videos, the part-time Shorts Video Editor will create captivating vertical Shorts from Spike episodes, utilizing AI tools and a flexible remote schedule while being compensated per delivered short.
Key responsibilities
Cut long episodes into engaging Shorts by identifying key moments and editing for the vertical format
Incorporate pacing, hooks, captions, sound effects, and music to enhance viewer retention
Deliver content consistently while adhering to quality guidelines and incorporating feedback from the Team Lead
Required qualifications
Video editing experience with a portfolio showcasing Shorts, TikToks, or Reels
Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro
Hands-on experience or eagerness to learn AI video tools for efficiency
Understanding of short-form content pacing and viewer engagement strategies
Fluent in spoken and written English
